| A short version of what the 'Gem Mine' offers... Over 5,000 kids (from last season alone) can't be wrong about the "GEM MINE". They say that it's SIMPLY AMAZING! ...Whether it's a "UNIQUE" Picnic Birthday Party (for any kid, any age)... a "FANTASTIC" Field Trip ( for schools, day cares, summer rec. programs, scouting groups, etc.)... or, a "Small Group, Special Occasion" (for any reason). The Town Of Dry Gulch has had RAVE REVIEWS for well over 20 years! A stroll down the lane will bring you to the entrance of the "Dry Gulch Gem Mine". The Mine is one more 'enchanting' area that we offer in our town. You'll find: a Picnic Pavilion, a BBQ Pit, a Museum depicting some of the wild west history of this region, the 'Town Jail', the cutest lil'Miniature Town and Working Railroad, a Black Light Mineral Display in the shack of our Old Grumpy Miner, 'Three Fingered Fuzzy' of 'Fuzzy's Hut. Also a small scale(R.R.) Train Engine... great for kids photo's. And of course, our Acres of Fenced in Trails that lead to over one million genuine gemstones, faceted gems that are ready for mounting!, sharks teeth, quartz crystals, arrowheads, fossils, silver, gold, and so much more! Note: It's all real, and you get to keep everything that you find! There are no cliffs or caves that kids can get lost or hurt in. NEW for 2010... Desert Critters ( rattlers, birds, scorpion, etc.) of the West are on display in 'The Old Railroad Tunnel'. Come and see the real Alligator Head which was responsible for giving Three Fingered Fuzzy his name! |
